The 8Dio Century Orchestral Series is the definitive state-of-the-art collection of hyper-realistic orchestral instruments. Century continues to represent our most significant leap forward in hall based orchestral sampling to date.
Artisan Brass Cimbasso features a unique and custom arranged ensemble of 6 expert Cimbasso players, recorded and placed into our familiar and easy to use Century user interface. Built from only the best musicians hand-picked and sourced from across the European continent.
Century Artisan Brass was painstakingly captured at 96 kHz before being carefully down sampled to 48 kHz for ease of streaming. Each recording session also featured only the very best in recording equipment, ensuring an almost purely analog signal path and workflow.
Artisan Brass Cimbasso features all-new natural legatos that truly characterize the flow and essence of each instrument. We also included a range of new dynamic playing techniques. This includes smooth, emotional, and organic Arcs, as well as complimentary Crescendos thar are perfect for bringing Tension and life to any piece. We also introduced several new and extended Playing techniques to push the realism and playability of the Artisan Brass series. These fully host tempo synchronized articulations allow you to play uniquely accurate phrases that perfectly fit your composition.
Century is more than a collection of sample libraries to us. It is an emotional and distinctively realistic series of deeply sampled instruments. We hand-picked the best brass players from across Europe, utilizing new sampling techniques that allowed us to record instruments more lyrically. The range of dynamics captured both naturally and independently allow you to control and seamlessly weave in-between the dynamic range.
8 Microphone Arrays
Artisan Brass features eight arrays of expertly placed microphone positions, offering you any perspective you may need. We also included our “Sweet Spot” Mix of all our microphone positions, as well as a more delicate, intimate, and up-front Close Mix made from summing our Spot microphones. Everything is offered in an easy-to-use yet advanced environment.
Uniquely Modular
The Century series is designed specifically to cater to a modular workflow. The sound, stage, programming, and instrumentation allows for each library to blend seamlessly. We paid careful attention to microphone placement, hall type, signal flow, and all the included articulations. Century provides you with the tools you need to build your very own ensemble!
