Role Overview:


We're on the lookout for a Video Editor with a strong rhythmic sensibility in edits and a profound passion for music. As we sell instruments, having a musical background is paramount. Our ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, artist-driven environment and possesses an inherent drive to push visual boundaries. You'll be joining our Santa Monica office 2-3 days a week in a hybrid working arrangement, melding seamlessly with our dynamic creative team and enjoying the perks of remote work.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and edit captivating video tutorials that strike a chord with our audience, ensuring both clarity and creativity.
• Produce tailored videos for social media platforms, notably YouTube and TikTok, resonating with their unique audiences and trends.
• Brainstorm alongside our content creators to conceptualize and manifest engaging video content.
• Maintain the aesthetic and brand identity of 8Dio across all video content.
• Absorb feedback from various team members to continually refine video output.
• Stay abreast of the latest trends in video editing and apply them creatively to our content.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in video editing.
• Proficiency in FCPX and/or Da Vinci Resolve.
• Outstanding storytelling skills with the ability to transform intricate information into compelling narratives.
• In-depth understanding of social media video dynamics, with an emphasis on platforms like YouTube and TikTok.
• Stellar communication skills, complemented by a team-oriented mindset.
• A deep-rooted passion for music, reflected in rhythmically attuned edits.
• Experience using artificial intelligence tools, such as ChatGPT or Visual AIs.
• Familiarity with tools like MotionVFX (motionvfx.com) is preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to innovate, multi-task, and consistently elevate visual standards.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Salary range from $60,000 to $90,000, contingent on experience.
