Each contains advanced legato and every articulation you need to create breathtaking woodwind music. The players chosen for the Claire Woodwinds are amongst the best in the world, and these masters are available right at your fingertips.
Each instrument includes 3 microphones: close, decca, and far. Whether you want an intimate and precise sound or a wide and dreamy sound, you can dial in the perfect mix with just a few clicks. In addition to the legatos, the Claire Woodwinds also include a comprehensive set of standard articulations (staccato, marcato, trills, etc.) as well as effects, runs, breaths, and valve/key clicks.
The Claire Woodwinds stand apart from other virtual woodwinds due to their playability, expression and realism. The advanced legato in Claire includes both slower, lyrical transitions as well as more direct, strong transitions. There is also a wide variety of sustains coming out of the legato transitions, spanning a variety of note lengths, vibrato speed, and more. This comprehensive legato system allows you to create the exact expression needed for any passage.
The Claire Collection also includes the 8DiOboe: a different approach to Oboe legato with the same true emotional realism as the main Claire Collection. The 8DiOboe allows you to use key switches to control articulations both before and after legato intervals, providing maximum flexibility, nimbleness, and playability.

The Claire series contains three microphone positions (Close, Decca, Wide). Everything was sampled at 96Khz, providing unprecedented detail in the sound and capturing the performance of these virtuosos that would otherwise have been lost at lower resolutions. You can hear the warmth of the instrument, reflections of the room, the air, and all the tiny details so often missed.

The Core of the Claire Woodwinds Series is a highly intuitive, playable, and expressive legato system. Every instrument can be played with a slow, lyrical legato or a faster, strong legato (think James Horner’s 1990’s scores). In addition to these transitions, we sampled a variety of expressive sustains and arcs that are all connected to the legatos, allowing you to create the perfect expression for your music.
