Click Clack
The Kokiriko is a traditional Japanese percussion instrument. The instrument sounds like a long set of domino pieces clashing together and has a distinct clicky-clacky type of sound. The instrument is made by mounting 30 wooden bricks on a strap of leather. The leather has a handle in each end, so you can alternate how the wood bricks clash. We sampled a variety of clack types with our standard 10x round robins. We took it further and created synth drum kits and ambient material out of the Kokiriko. Long live domino bricks strapped on leather!
