TRUE MISFIT GRIT
Welcome to the Misfit Series: an unusual collection of 18 unique, deep-sampled instruments following the musical tradition of flicks like Breaking Bad, Dexter, There Will Be Blood, The Master, or games like Left4Dead. After stripping the best equipment, the state-of-the-art studios, the most expensive instruments, and even the best musicians, only the soul is left. That is exactly what we wanted to explore: a human, urban, and unique product. The instruments are a little rough around the edges, but that is exactly what makes them so human.
Our idea was to approach the roots of modern music, a raw and gritty touch with an aroma of the authentic old-style blues. We have also included our Chaos FX Engine, so out of the box, not only do you own a unique product, but also a product packed with effects that will give you unlimited possibilities.
The Misfit Diddley Bows were built from wood cigar & metal cookie boxes, wooden sticks, and guitar strings. The Misfit Banjo, an authentic signature of American Folk, features intelligent strum detection, sustains & muted, and true Gelato & Glissando. The Misfit Bicycle is a sound designer’s dream: a rusty bike played with Pen, Paper, Hands, Thimbles, and a Bow. The Misfit Bucket Bass was built by stringing a steel break wire through a metal bucket, creating the finest washtub bass of all time. The Misfit Concertina, a retired accordion with a storied past, is perfect for the aspiring pirate!
The Misfit Fiddle is a masterpiece in its own right, proudly imperfect and unrefined, with true gelato, glissando, pizzicato, tremolo, and more. The Misfit Harmonicas are a deep-sampled collection of raw, gritty, and human harmonicas. The Misfit Jawharp is like an ancient synth, and the mouth is the oscillator: neither percussive nor tonal. The Misfit Stompbox is the basic beat, but with all different boot positions for extra flexibility.
Misfit Toy Synths & Drums captures the life, character and authenticity of ten Toy Synths and ten Toy Synth Drum Kits. Misfit Toy Instruments features the charming & whimsical sounds of a toy accordion, clarinet, saxophone, guitar, glockenspiel, and music boxes. The Misfit Toy Piano is a true vintage toy piano, recorded with several velocity layers and round robins. Misfit Toys n’ Baby features the deep-sampled sounds of Andreas, a very vocal toddler, along with the baby toys that surrounded him.
The Misfit Trombone & Misfit Trumpet are in a league of their own! A minor league, yes, but with hypnotizing personalities & authentic grit and rust that only amateurs can provide. The Misfit Washboard contains virtually any sound you can make with a musical Washboard: spoons, thimbles, mini bells, cymbals, and cowbells. Scrub away! Finally, Misfit Whistling is not your average whistler. We ended up doing 24 unique true gelato/glissandos per note, to achieve the perfection of imperfection.

A Misfit is a person whose behavior or attitude sets them apart from others in an uncomfortably conspicuous way… Other synonyms include nonconformist, eccentric, maverick, or individualist. If you can relate to any of these terms, this is the collection you’ve been waiting for!

The Misfit series is not your standard sample experience. To make it all easy as pie, we added a “HELPPP!” button on the front of all the instruments, which will explain all the features and how they work. Whether you want a little true gelato action or molto expresso vibrato, you can easily find it all!
