The Bible of Pop, Latin & Salsa: Volume Three overview

The third volume of our Bible of Pop, Latin & Salsa completes the circle of the deepest sampled library ever sampled.
This volume is the cherry on top for performers who want to have total control of the music they write – each of the instruments available in this product is sampled to a never-heard-before depth.

Our trip to Cali, Colombia ended with a marvelous sampling session with amazing soloists which allowed us to capture the soul of Latin music. Each note is played with the passion that characterizes this style, each transition has the proper requirements to join this collection that together, will help you create real salsa compositions in a matter of minutes, and then will also allow you to expand your horizons with endless possibilities.

In contrast with Volumes One and Two, The Bible of Pop, Latin & Salsa Volume Three is all about writing music. While One and Two will allow you to create real salsa tunes in a matter of minutes, Three will allow you to have the freedom to write what you want music to communicate – Legatos, Sforzandos, Crescendos, Staccatos, we have everything salsa uses, performed by proper Salsa players, using proper Salsa Mouthpieces, recorded with the equipment that real Salsa studios have, forget about reverb-y classical trumpets with perfect pitch, this is all about performing and sounding alive!

The Brass

The BIble of Pop, Latin & Salsa Volume Three contains a Tenor Saxophone, a Trumpet and a Trombone, all sampled together, perfectly matching together but also clean and neat playing solo. As salsa is characterized for its spectacular playing style, we’ve captured every single articulation that can fit in this type of music – from drops to staccato, glissandi of all types, crescendi and sforzandi that will fill your tunes with lively authenticity. Additionally, multi-velocity sustains both flat and vibrato, and an extreme-vibrato sustain will allow longer notes to intervene in that perfect composition. Also included there are bends, grupetti and ornaments typically used in this style of music for real movements that could not be possible to be replicated with the boring old-style sampling.

Legato

Forget about classical slow legatos recorded in halls with perfect reverbs – salsa is nothing like that: The Bible of Pop, Latin & Salsa contains the fastest legatos you will ever play, drag your finger through the keyboard and hear real transitions at top speeds, this is no Mozart or Beethoven, this is the guy who grew up with his instrument and suffered through it, this is the guy who will make you dance with a note, you will never hear more lively brass than this.

Percussion

You know when you wanted salsa percussion and all you had were Symphonic Congas recorded in a chapel in some European country? Well, this is not even close to that. This is the real deal: Real salsa musicians, recorded in a Latin country, with proper equipment for the style, everything sounds “Latin” here! Multiple Velocities and multiple Round Robins create an excellent percussive section – we’ve sampled large percussions such as the Congas or Timbales along with small percussions such a Shekeres, Guiros and even Cowbells in different sizes. Hundreds of velocities, hit types, effects, everything will make of this the most complete percussion you’ll ever need for any Latin-style music.

Compatibility

As we recorded the three volumes of The Bible of Pop, Latin & Salsa with the same setups, same musicians, same studio, same sessions, all the volumes of the bible of salsa complement each other seamlessly – you will be able to combine them and complement every single instrument from all volumes into one – The Bible of Pop, Latin & Salsa will be the only product you’ll ever need for diving deep into this unique and rich style of music.
