One-of-a-Kind
The Custom Instruments Bundle includes one-of-a-kind instruments physically built from the ground up. Each instrument is totally unique, but they all started with the same philosophy: exploring uncharted sonic territory.
Circle Strings was designed by our master luthier with experimentation in mind. It is a peculiar instrument that can produce sound in every possible way: bowing the strings, plucking the strings, hitting the instrument, and every sound effect that sounded interesting. Since it had never been done before, we decided to capture its sounds from any possible angle and microphone in mind. Contact mics, overheads, close mics, but also shotguns, dynamics, below mics and even inside mics.
EverWave was designed with the same philosophy: transcending the boundaries of traditional string instruments and creating never-before-heard sounds. Each note took almost 30 minutes to tune, and we continued to push the instrument and record every type of sound possible until the instrument broke. Fear not! The eternal sustains of EverWave are preserved forever in the software instrument.
The Bazantar is a custom bass created by Mark Deutsch. The five-string bass was fitted with an additional twenty-nine sympathetic strings and four drone strings. It has a melodic range of over five octaves, with a sympathetic range of four octaves. This results in an interplay between melodic, sympathetic, and drone strings which weaves an unexpected landscape of resonance that is remarkably rich in texture. The instrument features traditional multi-samples as well as phrase-samples. Don’t worry! We didn’t destroy this one.
The Basstard, on the other hand, was not so much custom made as it was custom destroyed. We took an orchestral Double Bass and recorded all the unique incredible sounds that can only be achieved by destroying it, pushing the instrument into a darker, grittier, more percussive, and even disturbing realm. The library contains four core categories of sounds: "Tonal," "Percussive," "FX" and "Grooves."
Supercluster is a cinematic sound library inspired by space exploration, blending sci-fi textures with the raw sounds of asteroids, moons, planets, suns, nebulas, cryo volcanoes, background radiation, rocket engines, and exoplanets. Created as a tribute to humanity’s race to the stars and its role in technological growth, it captures everything from dark cosmic collisions to the beauty of distant nebulae, offering instant inspiration for creating otherworldly, atmospheric music.
The New AGE (Acoustic Grand Ensembles) Vol. 1 features deeply sampled Concert Grand Pianos, Acoustic Guitars, Xylophones, Glockenspiels, and Tubular Bells recorded in a lush hall with multiple mic positions. The updated UI adds powerful tools for articulation control, sequencing, and effects, plus 50 custom synths crafted from the source material offering a rich, cinematic palette that transforms traditional instruments into something extraordinary.
The New AGE (Acoustic Grand Ensembles) Vol. 2 features four deeply sampled ensembles - Concert Harp, Cimbalom, Marimba, and Wind Chimes - captured with multiple hall and spot microphone positions for both grand ensemble impact and individual player nuance. It also includes 80 custom synths, half derived from the original recordings by ambient sound designer Steve Tavaglione, offering a versatile palette that transforms these instruments into something far beyond their traditional forms.
