The 8Dio Century Series is a state-of-the-art collection of realistic, emotional instruments. Artisan Brass features 3 rare ensembles: 6 Euphoniums, 6 Flugelhorns, and 6 Cimbassos. Each group consists of the finest musicians, hand-picked from across Europe.

With natural legatos that truly characterize the flow and essence of each ensemble, Artisan Brass is a joy to play. Beyond the standard set of articulations, we also included a range of new dynamic and tempo-synced playing techniques. This includes smooth, emotional, and organic Arcs, as well as complimentary Crescendos that are perfect for bringing tension and life to any piece. We also introduced several new and extended Playing techniques to push the realism and playability of the Artisan Brass series. The tempo-synced tonguing patterns, ostinatos, and runs will play perfectly in time with your music, while still maintaining the human imperfections that bring music to life.

To capture these ensembles in the best possible quality, we painstakingly set up a ton of microphone arrays: 3 perspectives in the hall, and 3 spot mic perspectives on stage. In addition to these 6 perspectives, Artisan Brass also includes 2 mixes: an intimate and precise close mix from the spot mics, and a gorgeous full mix created from all the mics.

The Century series is housed in a familiar, easy to use, yet powerful user-interface, offering a variety of advanced options to assist your musical expression. Create your own articulation matrix, custom mic mix, adjust the speed of tempo-synced patterns, and much more. All available with just a few clicks.

We also included our “Sweet Spot” Mix of all our microphone positions, as well as a more delicate, intimate, and up-front Close Mix made from the Spot microphones.
