Welcome to The New AGE (Acoustic Grand Ensembles): the most comprehensive collection of alternative ensembles ever recorded.
Continuing from the first volume, AGE Vol. 2 contains four new unique Grand Ensembles: a Concert Harp Ensemble, Cimbalom Ensemble, Marimba Ensemble, and Wind Chime Ensemble. All the Grand Ensembles are deeply-sampled with a vast range of articulations. It also includes forty stunning multi-sampled synths derived from the original recordings by the great ambient sound designer Steve Tavaglione, as well as forty custom synths.
All four Ensembles contain four carefully placed hall-based microphone perspectives (Close, Decca, Far, Wide), as well as a prepared stereo Mix. We also included up to seven Spot microphone positions to help bring out and isolate the unique character of each player. Each Ensemble is separated into two patches: ‘Main,’ which includes the hall-based microphones; and ‘Spot,’ which includes the Spot microphones. Whether you need the grand sound of the full ensemble or the precise nuance of an individual player, we made sure to capture it all in extensive detail, giving you all the options you need to make these ensembles truly come to life.
Something magical happens when you take several Concert Masters, place them in a symphonic hall and follow the sound, test new articulations, and push instruments to their absolute limits. Hyper Flexible Control
The UI features a wealth of front facing effects and options. The Main UI controls include a footer for quick access to key features, like Attack, Release Tails, Speed, Response, Stereo Spread, and Master Filter. Each instrument can also quickly be flipped on its head by using the available Reverse, Chaos, and Stack options. The X/Y Pads available in the Effects tab offer a brand new way to control a range of built-in effect processes.
Superior Mixing
AGE Vol. 2 contains ten different microphone positions divided across two patches (Main and Spot), making the instruments more CPU friendly and giving you a quicker workflow. The flexibility of the main and spot mics allows you to dial in the perfect sound, whether it’s the full Marimba Ensemble or a single Cimbalom player!
40 Multi-Samples Synths
Along with the two main patches for the different microphone arrangements, each Ensemble comes with a synthesized patch containing ten custom synths designed to blend perfectly with each Ensemble. AGE Vol. 2 also includes a separate bonus bank of synthesized ambiences by the master sound designer Steve Tavaglione.
