Sample Editor (with legato experience)

Job Overview:
Soundpaint is on the lookout for an experienced Sample Editor with expert knowledge in editing legato samples and legato scripting. The ideal candidate will work with our team to develop, edit, and refine legato samples, with a core focus on perfecting natural legato transitions and optimizing processes for efficiency. Examples of Legato instruments and familiarity with Soundpaint’s engine are musts.
Key Responsibilities:
• Edit, clean, and process audio samples with attention to seamless legato transitions, ensuring no clicks, pops, or artifacts.
• Leverage advanced legato scripting in Kontakt to enhance instrument playability.
• Utilize workflow automation to optimize and speed up editing tasks.
• Perform quality checks on all deliverables within the Soundpaint engine to ensure smooth performance.
• Adhere to Soundpaint’s file management and naming conventions.
• Collaborate with the sound design team to refine the user experience, ensuring consistent high-quality output.
Required Qualifications:
• Examples of Legato Instruments (please send Youtube link with legato instruments you made).
• Proficient in Kontakt with a focus on legato sample editing and scripting.
• Experience in setting up workflow automation for sample editing.
• Strong understanding of audio sample preparation, legato transition design, and real-time performance. No clicks in your samples.
• Ability to meet deadlines, incorporate feedback, and handle multiple projects efficiently.
Preferred Skills:
• Familiarity with Soundpaint’s engine and sample formats (ex. Spectral).
• Strong knowledge of DAWs and additional audio software tools.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and optimization of workflows.
Compensation:
